Smallmouth Bass Guide Trips--Full Day

Shenandoah River Smallmouth Bass!  Our Bass Guide Trips are conducted on the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River which are both a short drive from our fly shop in Edinburg, Virginia. Float and Walk/Wade Trips available.

Float Trips for Smallmouth Bass--Full Day

The location for our Smallmouth Bass Float Tips is water level dependent. We float the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River. We utilize a Hyde Rocky Mountain Skiff or a Hyside Raft for these float trips (both boats are set up for one or two anglers) depending on location and available access. Give us a call to discuss your options. Early season typically means more water which our guides like because they can take you to little fished areas on our rivers.

Pricing & Cancellation

1 or 2 Anglers: $475
3 Anglers: $525
4 Anglers: $575

$200 deposit collected upon booking your trip. 

Cancellation Policy: These payments are not refundable if you cancel within 14 calendar days of your scheduled guide trip. 

  • Canceling more than 30 days before your trip= Full Deposit of $200 will be refunded.
  • Canceling 15-30 days before your trip= Full Deposit of $200 will be issued via a Murray’s Fly Shop Gift Certificate.
  • Cancelling 14 days or less before your trip= NO Refund

Our guide trips go out in all safe weather and water conditions, therefore inclement weather, water levels or undesirable fishing conditions are NOT acceptable reasons to cancel or receive a refund. Trips cancelled by the guide or mutual guide/client decision due to unsafe weather or water conditions, state or federal closures, or other uncontrollable circumstances will have the entire deposit refunded.

Guided Fly Fishing Trips for Bass and Trout

Murray's Fly Shop, located in Edinburg, Virginia, has been offering guided fly fishing trips since 1962. We provide tailored experiences for both beginners and seasoned anglers, focusing on native brook trout and smallmouth bass in the Shenandoah Valley.

Guided Trip Options:

  • Native Brook Trout Trips: Walk/wade excursions in the Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Forest. Prime season runs from late March to mid-June.
  • Smallmouth Bass Trips: Available as walk/wade or float trips on the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River. Optimal fishing occurs from April to mid-October. 

Booking Information:

  • Rates: Start at $475 per day for one or two anglers (Wade or Float).
  • Inclusions: Flies, Rod and Reel Outfits, Lunch, and Water.
  • Exclusions: Fishing licenses, waders or hip boots, and personal gear.
