The large trout feed heavily on natural sculpin minnows. For many years I have used pattern such as Shenk's Black Sculpin size 8, Spuddler Streamer size 8 and Murray's Black Madtom Sculpin Streamer size 8 for these trout. The Jackson River and the Smith River at Bassett both hold many large trout which you can catch on these Sculpins by stripping them slowly along the streambottom.
