Delayed Harvest and Stocked Trout Streams: Recent rains have raised some of these streams slightly and flushed many of the sulphur mayfly nymphs from beneath the streambottom stones. Exposed in this way the trout feed heavily upon them. An effective tactic is to fish a two nymph rig across stream on a sinking tip fly line so they swim right along the streambottom. Effective patterns are the Murray's Sulphur Nymph size 14 and size 16 and Mr. Rapidan Brown Soft Hackle Nymph size 16. Good streams are the Jackson, Big Stoney Creek West of Edinburg and Big Tumbling Creek.
