Fishing Report Update - April 1, 2017
The North Fork of the Shenandoah and the northern Shenandoah Valley Stocked Trout Streams are high and discolored right now from Friday's (3-31-17) rain. Check the USGS Streamflow Gauges for up to date flows.
Where should you fish for Trout today? The Brook Trout Streams in the Shenandoah National Park and the George Washington National Forest are in good shape. Dries and Droppers worked in our School yesterday.
Where should you fish for Smallmouth Bass today? The South Fork of the Shenandoah River has 18" of visibility and is at a great level for floating. Break out your heavy streamers and sink tip fly lines, you just might catch something to talk about!
Unfortunately this isn't an April Fools joke.
