Large Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report- August 1, 2017

As these streams get warm, many of the large trout hold in the deep pools, especially where springs enter the stream floor. The Hidden Valley of the Jackson and Big Stoney Creek West of Edinburg have many of these spring holes. Good flies to fish these areas are Murray's Olive Magic Caddis Pupa size 14, Murray's Dark Miracle Stonefly Nymph size 14 and Murray's Professor Nymph size 14.
