Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report- April 10, 2018
Share
The blue quill mayflies are hatching in large numbers on many streams in the National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah National Park. These are well matched with a Blue Quill Dry size 16. However on cold days the duns have trouble popping their wings to fly off the stream and a Blue Quill Nymph size 16 will catch more trout. The Eperous pleuralis are hatching well so you can catch many trout on a Mr. Rapidan Parachute size 14.
