Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - April 16, 2020

We have had some heavy rain showers this week causing the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River to be higher than normal. The clarity is clearing more every day and as of this morning when I drove across the North Fork it was almost back to normal. I would suggest giving the North Fork a few more days to push the extra water through before trying to wade it. The South Fork will probably we another 5 days before the levels drop enough to wade if we do not get anymore rain. Try using a Murray's Heavy Shiner Streamer or Murray's Dying Shiner size 6 around the gravel bars that taper off into water which is 4 to 6 feet deep.
