Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - April 23, 2020
Share
If you want some very exciting smallmouth fly fishing get on the river at daylight where there are foot deep shallow bars along the banks. These bars are loaded with shiner minnows and often you can see many bass chasing them. Cast a Silver Outcast out in front of each chase and you will catch large bass.
As I am posting this report the North Fork of the Shenandoah River is in good shape but we are expecting heavy rains this afternoon. Should the conditions change we will post updates. The South Fork of the Shenandoah River is still running at very full levels so I would not recommend trying to wade this at this time.
