Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report- April 3, 2018

The deep riffles I mentioned last week are fishing well. However, those with the fastest currents and deepest pockets are giving me more large bass when I use a fast sinking head fly line. We have been floating the rivers in our Hyde Drift Boat which gives use access to the deepest cuts in these riffles. Murray's Stonecat Streamer size 4 and Murray's Sculpin Marauder size 4 are both producing many nice bass for us. On the North Fork of the Shenandoah River access point #5 (Chapman's Landing) is fishing good. On the South Fork of the Shenandoah River access point #13 (Foster's Landing) is fishing good.
