Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - August 16, 2019

Recommended Flies:  I'm getting great fishing with the Shenandoah Blue Popper size 4 and 6 around the grassbeds. As dusk cast your Shenandoah Blue Popper out in front of the bass you see chasing minnows and strip it loudly across in front of them. Fish these on a Bright Butt 9ft 2X leader.

Special through August 20--BUY 3 Shenandoah Blue Poppers and GET 1 FREE. No discount code needed--just add 4 Shenandoah Blue Poppers to your online shopping cart and the system will automatically take the discount.

 Stream Conditions:

The North Fork of the Shenandoah River is clear and fishable.   There are many grassbeds downstream from access #3 (Burnshire's). Wade carefully so you do not spook the fish.

The South Fork of the Shenandoah River is clear and fishable. The water levels are good for either wading or floating. Downstream from access #11 (Seakford's) has been doing well.   For all public access, check out our marked map in the fly shop.
