Singers Crayfish and Murray's Crayfish
Smallmouth Bass Streams: At dawn and dusk we are seeing many crayfish moving among the cobblestones in water from two to four feet deep. As they come out to mate they are easy prey for the smallmouth bass. We can catch many of the smallmouth bass on Murray's Crayfish size 6 and Singers Crayfish size 4 fished with slow spurts. On the North Fork of the Shenandoah River you can find this action downstream from access point #4B (Near Dr Truban's Vet Clinic). On the South Fork of the Shenandoah River you can get good fishing, especially along the far bank, downstream from access point #14B (Bealer's Ferry).
