Weekend Fishing Report--The North Fork of the Shenandoah River is in beautiful shape. The access spots from Woodstock upstream to Mount Jackson are all fishable. The water temperature is cooler so bring your chest high waders. Recommended flies for the weekend--Heavy Black Hellgrammite size 4, Murray's Crayfish size 6, Shenk's White Streamer size 6, and Tungsten Olive Marauder size 4. Fish these across stream and strip them slowly across the stream bottom by stripping every 6 seconds.
The South Fork is too high and discolored for good fishing. We will keep checking and give you updates as the conditions change.
