Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - April 9, 2020

These streams are becoming warm quickly and many of the nymphs are quite active. I do well with the Mr. Rapidan Olive Soft Hackle size 14, Mr. Rapidan Bead Head Nymph size 14, and Murray's Caddis Larva size 14 fished as a single fly or all 3 in tandem on a 5X leader. On streams 30 feet wide or more I fish these across stream with a slow twitching action. On narrower streams I fish these nymphs upstream dead drift. 

All of the local stocked trout streams are clear and fishable.  Please be respectful and stay away from overcrowded areas.
