Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - May 5, 2021

Big Stoney Creek in Edinburg is clear and fishable.  The recent rains actually improved the water levels.  Passage Creek in Fort Valley is high and muddy. 

A good technique which will catch many of these trout is to fish a two-nymph tandem rig with a Murray's Dark Stonefly Nymph size 14 on a Murray's9ft 4X Trout Nymphing Leader with a Mr. Rapidan Olive Soft Hackle size 14 on a two foot 5X dropper below it. Fish these dead drift upstream toward the riffles and across stream in the deep pools.
