The Blue Quill Mayfly is the second largest hatch to occur on the native brook trout streams in the East and usually starts toward the end of March and runs through April. This selection of drys and nymphs will help you cover this hatch. For more information on the hatch charts, see my book Trout Fishing in the Shenandoah National Park.
Consider taking an On The Stream Fly Fishing School in the Shenandoah National Park or George Washington National Forest.
