Many of the large browns and rainbows which the state stocks choose the rich feeding stations downstream of the springs. The temperature and pH of this water attracts many madtoms, sculpins, cress bugs, and shrimp. Depending upon the volume of the main stream and the volume of the spring output this rich food supply may extend one half mile downstream.
