I developed this housefly to use on heavily fished trout streams. It creates an entirely different light pattern than other dry flies and takes many large trout that refuse regular flies. Sometimes presenting it with a forward snap of the rod to cause it to land on the stream with splat is very productive. Be sure to use this on the mountain streams in July when the houseflies are thick.
